Frequently Asked Questions

Advantages of injection molding silicone:
1. Labor saving
2. High output, short molding time, products can be produced in tens of seconds
3. Saves raw materials, high finished product rate, less waste, scrap rate around 5%
4. Environmentally friendly, non-toxic, odorless, bringing high-quality life to human beings
What is compounded rubber?
Compounded rubber is also often called high-temperature silicone rubber, HTV high-temperature silicone rubber. It is made of high-molecular-weight vinyl raw rubber and mixed with silica powder. Its vulcanizing agent is generally dicumyl peroxide or di-tert-butyl peroxide. They are made of peroxides and contain a certain degree of toxicity. They will be gradually replaced by injection-molded silicone rubber in the future.
Advantages of compounded rubber:
1. Low technical content, anyone can do it
2. Inexpensive
3. The molding machine used for processing is inexpensive
Disadvantages of compounded rubber:
1. Waste of manpower, the molding machine has a high working temperature, which harms workers' health and is not conducive to long-term work by workers
2. The processing process is complicated (mixing vulcanizing agent, mixing color, slicing, manual weighing)
3. Requires manual control (molding material waste, less material leads to product scrap, scrap rate is 15%-20%)
4. Long vulcanization time, low output
