1. Why are the pad printing silicone heads not durable?

① The pad printing silicone itself is not the problem. The problem lies in the fact that the silicone was not filtered well during filtration, resulting in impurities; or during packaging, the barrels or bags were not cleaned properly, causing the pad printing silicone heads to be not durable.

② It is largely related to the amount of silicone oil added to the pad printing silicone. The more silicone oil added, the softer the hardness of the head, because the silicone oil will destroy the weight of the silicone, resulting in poor durability and easy aging.

③ Silicone application manufacturers do not understand the performance of pad printing silicone. The service life of pad printing silicone is closely related to the size of the pattern to be printed. Many factory managers are afraid of trouble and are unwilling to change the pad printing heads according to the pattern size. If you are printing a large pattern, you must use a larger head. If the pattern is small, you can use a small head (adjust the size of the pad printing head reasonably according to the pattern size, and the ratio of the head size to the pattern is 3:1)

 

2. Why are the printed patterns incomplete and unclear during the pad printing process?

① If the pad printing head is too hard, the printed pattern will be incomplete because the pattern lines are large and small, and the head is too hard. The pad printing head itself does not absorb the ink on the steel plate onto the head, so the pattern will not be complete. If your pattern has small and fine lines, you must use a soft head to print, which can solve the problem.

② If the water content in the ink is too high, the printed pattern will also be incomplete and spots will appear. It is recommended to clean the ink cup and replace it with new ink or thinner.

③ How is the water content in the ink formed? Generally, the water content in the ink is largely related to the humidity of the air. Because the weather temperature is high, especially in rainy days, and some pad printing workshops clean the floor in the morning and evening, the moisture from the ground rises and encounters the steel of the pad printing machine to produce small water droplets, which become large water droplets and flow into the ink.

 

3. Why doesn't the pad printing silicone pick up ink?

Any pad printing head or paste will pick up ink. If the customer prints large patterns and the characters are thick, it will definitely pick up ink. The reason why small English letters do not pick up ink is that the hardness of the head itself is too large, and the ink under the steel plate is not absorbed onto the head, so it is thought that it does not pick up ink.

 

4. Why doesn't the pad printing silicone head transfer ink?

For plastic toys or products that have not been sprayed with paint, two out of ten products have incomplete patterns during pad printing, which is a normal phenomenon. Because during the production of toys by the injection molding machine, a release agent is sprayed onto the surface of the steel mold every few products. The first or second product after spraying the release agent has a lot of release agent on the surface. If this product is not cleaned with thinner or cleaning agent and is directly used for pad printing, this phenomenon will occur.
